Dr. P. Kaliraj, is at present the Vice Chancellor of Bharathiar University, Coimbatore. He has 31 years of teaching experience and has served as the ICMR Emeritus Medical Scientist in the Centre for Biotechnology at Anna University. He is experienced in university administration, having functioned as officiating vice-chancellor, dean of faculty at A C College of Technology, head of Bio-technology and member of the Syndicate for 20 years at Anna University. Between 1999 and 2004, he had been a research collaborator with the National Institute of Health in Maryland (USA), Glasgow University in Scotland (UK) and University of Illinois in Rockford (USA). He has published more than 69 research papers and has guided 42 research scholars in their PhD courses. In the year 2009, he was awarded BSR Faculty Award by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and in 2013 he received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Biotechnology Research Society of India.

"My focus will be to realize this tremendous potential by creating enabling ecosystem for highly interdisciplinary, research-oriented and commercially potential outputs for public good. I am confident that my seminal contributions to pioneering technical education in emerging areas, scientific research contributions to millennium goal of reducing the burden of infectious diseases through technology, creation of ecosystem for translational research and commercialization experience, implementation of Vision 2023 and other mega national/international schemes across affiliated government and private engineering colleges with my previous experience as officiating Vice Chancellor of Anna University will fulfill my vision. Dr. K. Murugan, M.Sc., M.Phil., Dip. Ent., Ph.D., D.Sc. is currently the Registrar i/c of Bharathiar University. He is an eminent professor in Zoology, and has done cutting-edge research on the synergy among plant-borne compounds with microbial insecticides / Nanoinsecticides and arthropod predators for the successful control of insect pests of medical and agricultural importance. His latest contributions to the field deal with metal nanoparticles with excellent mosquitocidal properties biosynthesized using cheap extracts of plant and fungi as reducing and stabilizing agents. His recent topic on the Microbial Biosurfactants against mosquito control is one of the most promising research for solving local mosquito borne diseases.
Bio-formulations that are developed by him have already been used by Defense Personnel at North Eastern India and Tsunami affected people of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry during 2004-2005. His current research on stem biology with stem cell-based therapy holds an extraordinary perspective in improving the lives of people who suffer from visual, cardiac and orthodontic disorders and it carries a promising future in producing new biological elements for medical treatment. He has published 450 research papers and has produced Ph.D. - 42+8, M.Phil.-65, M.Sc. 90, and Post-Doc. 15. He is the author of 2 books, and is the reviewer of many international journals.
Earlier, he has served in several important positions such as Additional Director, DRDO-BU-CLS (Ministry of Defense, Govt. Of India), Director i/c, Research and Development Centre, Bharathiar University, Professor and Head, Department of Zoology, Human Genetics and Molecular Biology, Bharathiar University, Scientist/Station Director, Indian Cardamom Research Institute (Ministry of Commerce), Govt. of India and Vice - Chancellor of Thiruvalluvar University, Vellore.

Dr. Murali Mohan is serving the Department of Science and Technology (DST) from 1998 onwards and presently, he is Adviser/Scientist-G and heading the Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems division of DST. Prior to the current position, he was associated with Big Data Initiatives division, Natural Resources Data Management System (NRDMS) & National Spatial Data Infrastructure (NSDI) divisions of DST. He has developed a number of new R&D network based cluster initiatives.
His multidisciplinary academic background coupled with multi-institutional scientific exposure spanning over 20 years provides him an edge in identifying and in conceptualizing niche scientific areas of research. The programs he has developed or is under development, synergizes the core concepts of Big Data, Geo-Sciences, Information & Communication Technologies (GeoICT) and brings in the fundamental and applied aspect of the emerging spectrum of Science. Identification of burning national issues and scientific challenges which requires SxT interventions, development of scientific framework, institutional network/arrangements, expertise driven holistic experimentation and core capacity building / critical mass creation, are the generic areas followed in all his endeavors.

Prof. S. M. Ramasamy, a field Geologist (GSI, 15 years) who turned into an Academician has served as a Founder Professor & Director, Centre for Remote Sensing, Bharathidasan University, Tamil Nadu, India for over 25 years and has served as the Vice – Chancellor of Gandhigram Rural University, Dindigul.
His areas of research interest include Remote Sensing, GIS – based modeling and visualization, processes for minerals, hydrocarbon and water resources exploration, earth ecosystem modeling including life histories of rivers and coastal areas, natural disasters mapping, mitigation and management, and spatial decision support systems for sustainable development. With more than 250 research publications and 89 conference paper presentations, he has an h-index of 16 and citation count of 1225. Besides establishing the major centre, he has developed innovative Academic Programmes in Geomatics and Geology, guided a large number of students, carried out over 30 major funded projects budgeting to INR 1200 lakhs, and published over 11 books / edited volumes.
He has been conferred a number of awards including the First Indian Remote Sensing award (1992) from the Indian Society of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, Tamil Nadu Scientist’s Award (TANSA 1997) and now serving as the Professor of Eminence, Department of Remote Sensing, Bharathidasan University, Thiruchirappalli. He is a member and chair of a number of scientific bodies in India and abroad including Chair, ISPRS WG VIII/5.

Dr. Rajeev Sharma is Scientist ‘E’ in Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (ICPS) Division of Department of Science & Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, New Delhi. He is an associate member of the Institution of Engineers India. He has significantly contributed in evolving, developing and execution of programs of Department of Science & Technology on “Microwave tea drying in Tea Estates of Assam in collaboration with industry”; “Sea - water desalination technology using brackish water at Ramanathapuram District of Tamil Nadu”; “Design and Development of 42 GHz, 200 Kw Long Pulse Gyrotron”; Commissioning of SOP Plant in Gujarat, Development of Platform Technologies including Optical Sensors, Ceramic Membrane Technologies, Swachch Bharat Mission (Waste Management Program), Make in India (Advanced Manufacturing Technologies (AMT), Electrochemical and Optical Imaging Devices (EOD) etc.
At present, he is involved in ICPS program of DST, which is mainly dealing with (i) e-Governance initiatives of DST (e-Office & e-PMU implementation) and (ii) R&D Activities related to ICPS Program such as Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems Research (ICPSR), Data Science Research (DSR), Internet of Things Research (IoTR), Cyber Security Research (CSR), Indian Heritage in Digital Space (IHDS), Epidemiology Data & Analytics.

Dr. C. J. Kumanan, Ph. D., Professor for Remote Sensing, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli is specialized in the fields of Remote Sensing and GIS for Mineral and Water Resources, Structure and Tectonics, Geomorphology and Ecosystem, Natural Disasters and Spatial Decision Support System. He was initially associated with Geological Survey of India for over two decades and has carried out intensive systematic geological mapping in divergent geological provinces in India and has organized various training programmes at GSI Training Institute. Having a lot of involvement in both R&D programmes numbering 20 in the form of sponsored research projects as well as in innovative academic and extension programmes, he has co-authored 3 books and more than 90 research papers in referred journals, edited volumes and conference proceedings at both national and international levels.
He has been an active member of many international and national working groups / science councils. Considering his credentials, Bharathidasan University offered him various capacities both in the Academic, such as Coordinator of UGC Orientation Course for University Faculties, as well as in the Administration, as Campus Director, Technical Officer to Vice-Chancellor.

Prof. T. Devi is currently the Dean - Research of Bharathiar University, and is also heading the Department of Computer Applications, Bharathiar University. She has completed her Ph.D. in Computer Science from The University of Warwick, UK in the year 1998, M. Phil. from Bharathiar University in 1990, and M.C.A from PSG College of Technology, Coimbatore in 1987.
She has worked in various designations such as Lecturer - Department of Computer Science, Bharathiar University, Lecturer (Sr. Scale) - Department of Computer Science, Bharathiar University, Associate Professor - Department of Computer Applications, Bharathiar University, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Applications, Bharathiar University, and Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi etc.
She has also held several additional responsibilities including Coordinator of Common Computing Centre, Incubation & Technology Transfer Center, Overseas Student Support Services, MCA, Distance Education, and Bharathiar University and ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu Training programmes. Her responsibilities include Member of Board of Governance - RUSA, Bharathiar University, Nodal Officer - NIRF and GeM, Bharathiar University, Convener - BU Chancellor's VISION 2030 Team, and Chairperson of Academic Board - MCA, and M.Sc. Data Analytics.
Dr. T. Devi has 6 completed projects including 4 UGC funded projects, and 4 projects are ongoing. 24 candidates has successfully completed Ph.D. and 44 has completed M.Phil. under her guidance. With 99 publications in International journals, 5 in National journals, she has presented 46 International and 20 National conference papers and has written 3 books. Her present book work of Industry 4.0, aligned with the Chancellor's Vision 2030, would be a complete reference for the students and researchers in learning about the present industry and technologies. She has a total of 326 citations with an h-index of 9.
